Dominion Atlantic coast pipeline uses less than 10% of its 599 mile length colocating on existing easements or right of ways (such as roads, other pipelines, electrical transmission lines, etc. ) This is the lowest level among large pipelines in America, where the average colocation percentage is over 50%. Tell Mr. Farrell this is unacceptable and irresponsible.
Ask Governor McAuliffe, Senator Kaine, Senator Warner, and your state representatives to call or write to Tom Farrell, CEO of Dominion, demanding a more “responsible” Atlantic Coast Pipeline, preferably using existing rights-of-way such as the less damaging alternatives proposed by Friends of Wintergreen in May 2016.
Ask your state representatives to follow South Carolina and Georgia and ban the use of eminent domain by investor-owned interstate pipeline companies as the Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley Pipelines.
